This polyvocal publication arose from a three-part workshop series at the Queens Public Library in Corona, Queens, in November 2024. The workshops invited children aged 4-14 to explore a guiding question: If you were a teacher and could assign any homework, what would it be?
Their answers— in the form of drawings, typings, handwriting, and conversations— provide insight into the gaps between the values of children and the values of elementary and middle school education systems.
